You’re seriously injured as a result of an unexpected event and have to pay hospital bills – UNLIMITED
You suffer an unexpected event and need to be evacuated – UNLIMITED
You require emergency dental treatment as a result of an unexpected event for relief from sudden and acute pain by the application of antibiotics, temporary dressings or extraction, or tooth injury in conjunction with sudden and acute pain - $750 per person, per journey
You’re hospitalised overseas and required to stay in hospital continuously for over 72 hours - $100 per 24-hour period, up to a maximum of $3,000, per person, per journey
Due to an accidental injury on your trip, you suffer from total loss of income (because you can't do your normal work on return to New Zealand) – up to $500 per week per person, to a maximum of $6,500 per person, or $13,000 per journey
You need to alter or cancel your journey due to an unexpected event - $50,000 (individual policy), or up to $100,000 (family policy). Excess applies.
Your travel plans are interrupted for more than 12 hours and you’re stranded overseas due to an unexpected event - $30,000 or qualifying expenses incurred within the first 30 days, (whichever is lower)
Your luggage or personal items are accidentally lost, stolen or damaged as a result of an unexpected event - $25,000 (individual policy), $50,000 (family policy). Excess applies.
Your bags are delayed for more than 12 hours at your overseas destination as a result of an unexpected event - $1,000 per person, to a maximum of $5,000 per journey
Your passport or travel documents which you are carrying with you are lost or stolen as a result of an unexpected event - $1,000 (individual policy), or $2,000 (family policy). Excess applies.
You cause loss of, or damage to, property or bodily injury to another person as a result of an unexpected event, and you’re legally liable - $1,000,000
You have to pay the excess on your rental car, if your rental car is damaged or stolen as a result of an unexpected event - $5,000
